While I have been writing for over twenty years, in the last ten years my work has focused on business and social related issues in Thailand and Asia. After the December 26, 2004 tsunami, I have been involved in several academically oriented research projects on economic and social development. I have also been running the award winning "Tsunami Child Sponsorship Program" and the Community Bank that provides micro loans to those families affected by the tsunami in Krabi Province. This work has inspired the production of the mini-documentary "Helping Hands' which includes the original song of the same name I co-wrote with Santa Cruz CA musician Gary Gates (www.garygatesband.com).
